Mission

Seeds for a Future empowers rural Guatemalan families through food security and nutrition. Our integrated approach weaves together sustainable agriculture, nutrition education, and increased income opportunities to achieve lasting community development. We partner with rural families to build and maintain ‘backyard farms’ with a rich variety of nutrition-dense vegetables and native plants, plus sources of small animal protein. And beyond the outstanding tangible results, men and women alike regain their sense of self-reliance, and women especially are empowered to believe in themselves and their ability to make positive change for their family's future. Together, we are fostering food security and rural community development for generations to come.
