Vision

At Good Shepherd, our primary goal is to help individuals establish a special bond with our horses. Through comprehensive training programs, our dedicated volunteers acquire the skills to effectively communicate with our horses and fulfill their needs. As an experiential learning center and rescue, we are committed to reintegrating horses into a thriving herd environment, often for the first time. Our utmost priority is to ensure that every horse receives the necessary support and care they require. We are unwavering in our dedication to providing the highest quality of life for each horse that enters our facility.

Goals

1. 1.By December 2025, improve the health and well-being of all rescue horses at Good Shepherd Horse Rescue and Learning Center by ensuring each horse receives routine veterinary care, including monthly checkups and necessary treatments, implementing a personalized nutrition and exercise plan for at least 90% of the herd, and documenting health progress through quarterly evaluations.
2. 2.By August 2026, expand outreach by increasing program participation 25%, forming 5 new community partnerships, hosting 6 clinics annually, launching a volunteer training program, and providing emergency aid to 10 community-owned horses.
3. 3.By August 2026, increase fundraising and sponsorship by growing recurring donations 30%, launching 2 annual fundraising events, submitting 10 grant applications annually, and securing 5 new corporate or local business sponsors to support programs and operations.
