Our organization is working to provide resources to individuals who lost a parent or are in foster care or a product of foster care. The resources will include but are not limited to: Financial Support, Counseling Stipends, One-on-one Support of Peer-Mentors, Support, Group Activities, Support Groups Meetings, Mentorship, Special Events, Workshops.
We desire to provide hope and support, educate the public about the effects of losing a parent and living in foster care, assisting individuals with rebuilding their lives to include yet not limited to: Launching a fully functional mentorship program, Provide counseling stipends and referrals, Create and execute foster care agency support plans with agencies such as Judson Center and Spaulding Children Services. Adopt a family, actives and other resources in place to help individuals overcome the challenges they face.
We are able to do this because we partner with foster agencies as well as being staffed with individuals who have experienced the lost of a parent or have been in foster care. This provides a unique opportunity to serve with the heart which makes it extremely effective. Our programs are designed specifically through brainstorming personal experiences as well as fundraising to ensure we meet the needs of those we serve.
Questionnaires, assessments, before and after testimonials, school and work progress reports, completion of counseling sessions and weekly progress reports and mentor feedback. We will also monitor and track the outcome of our services through The Brief Grief Questionnaire (BGQ) which is a five-item scale that can be easily administered. Originally developed for those who needed support after the devastation of 911, the BGQ scale have proved to be a good scale The scale was originally developed for a study of individuals who sought support following the 9–11 terrorist attacks New York. The Brief Grief Questionnaire, is also useful for initial screening and can be used in a primary care setting
Allnette has accomplised short term goals. we have successfully ran our ANgel heart Holiday Inititiative and helpd ove r 25 families in 2017 and we are in the process of heloing 100 families for the 2018 holday. We have an annual ANgel heart Christmas Ball which helps us help Foster Kids, and children that have loss their parent(s).
