Asking for feedback from the people we serve has strengthened our relationship with the field as it has given us an avenue to provide the field what they need and want. It has given the field an easy way to tell us what we can do better and also allowed us to give feedback to partners that has strengthened their products/services.

We have changed locations, types and modalities of trainings based on feedback received. We created a member community to provide a network for prevention professionals to interact and engage with each other.

CADCA's Leadership team has met with a variety of other nonprofit and private sector organizations to partner and continue to grow each others missions. CADCA continually presents at conferences/trainings like the National Prevention Network, SAM, etc. The organization puts on two conferences a year with thousands of attendees as well as various trainings and customized trainings for coalitions. Our communications and marketing team uses social media including facebook, tiktok, instagram, twitter and linkedin to promote CADCA's mission and activities. They also send weekly newsletters to our contacts and members to promote the work of the prevention field. CADCA has a public policy team that works on the hill to advocate for substance misuse prevention continually gaining money for the prevention field.
The nonprofit has an opportunity to tell the story of how the organization adapted to tremendous external changes in the last year.
In addition to COVID-19, we had a change in leadership, change in CFO and we moved to a new office space. The combination of all four of these majors changes put CADCA to the ultimate test. Not only were we able to adapt to these changes, but we pioneered ahead, envisioned a new healthy and strong future for CADCA and the prevention field we serve.
