    Mission

    NEW ORLEANS MISSION IS A NONPROFIT 501(C)(3) CHRISTIAN HUMANITARIAN ORGANIZATION DEDICATED TO RELIEVING HUMAN SUFFERING THROUGH OUR CHRISTIAN DISCIPLESHIP RECOVERY PROGRAM. As an emergency shelter, we provide food, clothing, 21-day shelter, spiritual guidance, and access to on-site medical services to the region's homeless population. As a faith-based addiction recovery program, we rescue homeless adults and families from addiction, physical and/or sexual abuse, mental illness, hunger, and financial hardship; we strengthen their recovery efforts to overcome addiction; our vocational training programs foster their successful re-engagement into society as healthy, disciplined, skilled individuals who are ready to lead a sustainable, productive, purpose-driven life; and strive to reunite transformed graduates with their families, affording them time and space to mend broken relationships.
