Vision

The New Orleans Mission aspires to introduce men, women, and children to a relationship with Jesus Christ by leading them to know Him and His unconditional love; our work has always been about God working through us to meet people where they are at, to love them, to help them, and to share the message of salvation and the only hope mankind truly has.

Goals

1. 1.Rescue men, women & children from homelessness, addiction, hunger, and financial hardship; strengthen their recovery efforts, healing heart issues at the root of their addiction; foster a successful re-engagement through vocational training that builds skills to maximize employment opportunities; and strive to reunite graduates with their family members to mend broken relationships.
2. 2.Launched our expanded recovery program for homeless families in 2024 by building seven duplex cottages at the Lynhaven Retreat campus to be assigned to 14 homeless families in need of housing with wraparound supportive programs. Several resources partnered to provide needed services, including a group of retired teachers who tutored 13 children last year, enabling them to pass to the next grade.
3. 3.Re-Engagement—Adding new vocational training programs that support men and women to successfully re-engage into society by maximizing employment opportunities in hospitality, construction, commercial lawn-care and landscaping, commercial car washing and detailing, media, and non-profit leadership training.
