Charity Navigator provides 501(c)(3) nonprofits with an Encompass Rating when we have available data. Please see the sections below for more information on why this organization is not currently rated.

This organization cannot be evaluated by our Encompass Rating methodology because it files Form 990-EZ, as allowed by the IRS for charities with less than $200,000 annual revenue.

The lack of a rating for this reason simply means that the organization does not meet our rating criteria. It does not indicate a positive or negative assessment by Charity Navigator.

What is your organization aiming to accomplish?

A Warrior's Oasis, Inc's mission is dedicated to reconstructing the beautiful and serene Silver Sky Ranch that is located in Quemado, New Mexico to provide Service Members, Veterans, and their immediate Families and caregivers with a much-needed array of counseling services, equine therapies, fishing, hiking, and family re-bonding activities that bring relief and most importantly, new hope. In addition, AWO's goals are to have financial scholarships readily available for service members, veterans, and their families that need the support and opportunity to experience relief and hope but are still waiting for the VA to assist and cannot use their health insurance for therapy services. These scholarships will also be offered for those who are struggling, cannot work, and cannot pay. A Warrior's Oasis, Inc. will not leave any Service Member or Veteran behind.

What are your strategies for making this happen?

A Warrior’s Oasis Silver Sky Ranch Therapy Centers have private, therapeutic counseling spaces equipping professional therapists to stay aboard to offer support to? our service members and their families. Our Second Facility features a full galley and dining area that can seat 50, a fitness center, reading/TV room. The Ranch's other structures such as a barn/tack facility with horse paddocks for equine therapy, hiking trails, are ready to offer enriching activities. Our infrastructure is solid and developed in a rural, peaceful location. This is critical. The Ranch is fully equipped with WIFI, satellite dish access, septic systems, a complete solar energy system that powers these facilities and sells power back to New Mexico, and a deepwater well. We will be building cabins, with septic, plumbing, and electrical infrastructure supporting the cabins, a recreation meeting facility that would tie into existing plumbing and electrical infrastructure. The creation of two ponds for fishing.

What are your organization's capabilities for doing this?

Silver Sky Ranch's 480 acres has the platform to be the perfect venue to support A Warrior's Oasis, Inc.'s vision and mission. With continued financial support from gracious Donors, AWO will be able to be there when our Veterans and Service Members need us.

How will your organization know if you are making progress?

AWO's progress will shine when our cabin infrastructure construction is underway. We hope to open our Ranch's gates to Veterans and Service Members by mid-year of 2020.

What have and haven't you accomplished so far?

A Warrior's Oasis, Inc. was incorporated within the state of New Mexico in September 2017. We applied for AWO's Non-Profit Status on December 13, 2017. Silver Sky, a 480-acre ranch was secured as AWO's official venue in January of 2018. A Warrior's Oasis, Inc. received its 501c3 determination from the IRS on February 5, 2018. Our Mission is to continue to develop the Ranch to meet the therapeutic needs of our Nation's Warriors. We have accomplished so much in less than 10 months! What's Next? Within the next 18 months, we will be developing and completing 'Phase One' cabins, supporting infrastructure and Recreation Center. A Warrior's Oasis, Inc's Silver Sky Ranch will open and able to begin receiving Warriors. Within the next 24 months, we will be developing 'Phase Two' Cabins and two fishing ponds.
