The nonprofit organization presents evidence of strategic thinking and goal setting through sharing their most important strategic goals.
Goal One: Expand access to our core programs (the Leadership Academy, Summer Internships, and school-based workshop cohorts) so more Oakland youth build hope, belonging, and confidence. Strengthen the multi-year pathway from workshops to internships to leadership, while deepening program quality and alumni leadership.
Goal Two: Invest in the staffing, systems, and infrastructure needed for long-term sustainability. Priorities include hiring development and program support, improving data and outcomes tracking, strengthening governance, and reducing founder dependency so Catalyst can grow with stability and integrity.
Goal Three: Respond to the growing need for safe, community-based spaces by preparing for a future relaunch of the Youth Center once staffing, partnerships, and anchor funding are secured. Build toward an alumni-led model that strengthens belonging and safety for Oakland youth.
