Second Saturday is a 501(c)(3) non-profit service ministry founded from Jesus’ words that the most important commandment is to love God with all your heart, soul, and mind and the second most important is to love your neighbor as yourself (Matt 22:37-39). Second Saturday demonstrates our love for God and our neighbors by showing compassionate love for widows and the orphans (the fatherless) in their need (James 1:27). The ministry service performs repairs on the homes of widows, single-parents, the elderly, disabled, and those who have served us – veterans and first responders. Our mission will ensure they are warm, safe, and dry and secure. Second Saturday “Go” events are intended to get the Church outside of the four walls as part of the discipleship methodology.
