THE MISSION OF THE HARTMAN CASTLE PRESERVATION CORPORATION (HCPC) IS THE PRESERVATION, PROTECTION, MAINTENANCE, AND RESTORATION OF THE HISTORICAL BUILDING KNOWN AS HARTMAN CASTLE, A QUEEN ANNE STYLE CASTLE WHICH COMMANDED A 2,000-ACRE RANCH HOMESTEADED IN 1875 BY ALONZO HARTMAN, AND LOCATED IN GUNNISON, CO. THIS ACTIVITY INCLUDES THE PHYSICAL RESTORATION OF THE CASTLE, HISTORICAL RESEARCH, EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS, AND COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT EFFORTS RELATED TO THE CASTLE'S HISTORY AND SIGNIFICANCE.
