As Americans focus on finding solutions for long-standing racial disparities, many have been moved to support businesses that are Black-owned.

Inspired by this movement, Charity Navigator has partnered with philanthropists Christina Lewis, the Founder and President of All Star Code, Stephanie Ellis-Smith, Founder and Principal of Phila Engaged Giving, and Dr. David Setiadi, an experienced CTO, CIO, and entrepreur, to amplify a crowd-sourced list of Black-founded nonprofits in an effort to raise awareness and funds for Black-founded nonprofit organizations.

The charities featured in the Black-founded nonprofits Hot Topic are vetted organizations pulled from the list with a 3 or 4-star Charity Navigator rating. Consider supporting one of these highly rated nonprofits that are working across a spectrum of categories and cause areas through Charity Navigator's Giving Basket. Your support will act as an investment in the Black community and will help facilitate increased understanding of racial disparities in philanthropic funding.
