Habitat for Humanity of Palm Beach County (HFHPBC) was established in 1986 with the mission of bringing people together to build strength, stability and self-reliance through shelter. Dedicated to the creation of decent, affordable homes for very low- and low-income families, HFHPBC operates on the principle that no one lives in dignity until everyone lives in dignity.
To date, the Affiliate has constructed 213 homes for hardworking families whose annual incomes fall between 30% and 80% of the area median income. This was achieved through a variety of strategies, including the establishment of mutually beneficial partnerships to build and preserve quality housing. In a continuous effort to grow, HFHPBC has recently embarked on a multi-year initiative to revitalize three neighborhoods in downtown West Palm Beach that have been heavily impacted by crime and poverty in recent years.
