United Way of Southwest Louisiana's initiative, The Path Home, came from feedback regarding our homeless population We found a need for a family shelter when young males were being separated from their mothers when looking for shelter We will open the first family shelter in Southwest Louisiana and each member of the family will get individualized help along a path toward their own home

Our Corporate Cornerstone Companies designate their gifts to help underwrite United Way of Southwest Louisiana’s annual campaign, dues and administrative costs. With these designations, United Way of Southwest Louisiana is able to maximize the dollars donated to our campaign. There are over 35 companies that underwrite and approve our administrative costs. Money from donations, fundraisers and grants are not spent on administrative, fundraising or dues.
