Its mission is to strengthen America's service members by connecting them to family, home and country by providing critical services and supports. Founded in 1941, the USO of NC is a nonprofit, charitable organization, relying on the generosity of North Carolinians to support its programs and services. The USO of NC provides more than 600,000 service connections annually, helping our troops and their families through education, wellness, transition assistance, resiliency & wounded warrior, military & family support programs across the state. With seven major military installations, North Carolina has the fourth largest demographic of active and reserve duty components in the country. USO of NC has ten centers statewide, three satellite offices and a mobile center.
