Our Mission is to "Create and support one to one professionally supported mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth." Being a mentor, or Big can have an incredible impact on the life of our children. Start Something Big! Mentoring truly empowers youth and strengthen communities. Positive mentoring relationships have a direct and measurable impact on children's lives. Nationally, youth who participate Big Brothers Big Sisters programs are more confident in their schoolwork performance, able to get along better with their families, 46% less likely to begin using illegal drugs and 27% less likely to begin using alcohol, and 52% less likely to skip school
