Founded in 1927, the Texas Tech Alumni Association cultivates loyalty, tradition, service and lifelong relationships. The Association supports and assists in the development and increasing of the facilities of Texas Tech University by encouraging and establishing scholarships, engaging in the advancement of higher education through research and other literary and scientific undertakings, awarding alumni for outstanding work in promoting the welfare of the university, engaging in public relations on behalf of the university, assisting in keeping records and statistics on graduates and former students, publishing an alumni magazine, supporting local alumni groups, and encouraging donations to the university.
