Impact Information

This charity has reported a measure of cost-effectiveness: how much impact (per dollar) your donation will have on the charity's social outcome. The cost-effectiveness calculation was performed using protocols developed by ImpactMatters, an independent auditor of philanthropic impact.

For nonprofits that run multiple programs, we highlight the impact of one program below.  Learn More about Impact Information.
Program Name: Midnight Golf Program
Program Activities
The Midnight Golf Program (MGP) delivers year round life skills training, mentoring, professional golf instruction, and exposure that help youth navigate from post-secondary education to career success and beyond.
Impact Statement
$7,000 leads to an additional student graduated from college.
Methodology
MGP collected data on outcomes of participants after the program. To estimate the change attributable to the program, MGP made an educated guess as to how participants would have fared without the program.
Data Source
Statistics from the National Student Clearinghouse, and surveys of MGP students and alumni.
Attribution Method
We assume that without MGP, participants would have graduated at the same six-year rate as the average underrepresented minority student in urban Michigan (42%). Thus, 49 of 118 participants would have graduated anyway and 33 graduated thanks to MGP.
