Givat Haviva's Jewish-Arab Center for Peace, founded in 1963, is one of Israel's oldest institutions promoting Jewish-Arab reconciliation and peace education. A leader in its field, Givat Haviva was awarded the UNESCO Prize for Peace Education for its longstanding work in promoting Jewish-Arab dialogue and was granted Special Consultative Status to the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) in 2018.
