Founded in 1978, Foodlink is a regional food hub and Feeding America food bank that distributes nearly 20 million pounds of food annually to a network of hundreds of member agencies in a 10-county area in central and western New York. Foodlink's mission is to leverage the power of food to end hunger and build a healthier community. Foodlink's food bank works with area food retailers, manufacturers and wholesalers to acquire, sort, store and redistribute food to our member agencies, such as soup kitchens, shelters and food pantries. In addition, Foodlink has created multiple innovative, food-related programs that target the root causes of hunger. The Foodlink Community Kitchen prepares and delivers thousands of meals daily to children in the City of Rochester, minimally processes local produce and hosts a one-of-a-kind workforce development program.
