In accordance with our policy for removing CN Advisories, Charity Navigator removed the High Concern CN Advisory for Catholic Charities Diocese of Cleveland on June 1, 2017, because the issues that prompted the CN Advisory have been resolved. Specifically:

  • Catholic Charities Diocese of Cleveland provided a statement for funders detailing action they have taken in response to the situation cited in this Advisory.

  • On December 17, 2016, News 5 Cleveland reported on the operations of Catholic Charities Diocese of Cleveland, a charity that has recently experienced a material diversion of assets, in an article titled, "Employee swindles $1.9 million from Catholic Charities organization."
