Founded in 1965 in Houston, AMIGOS is an international organization that provides unparalleled leadership and community-service opportunities for young people in hundreds of communities throughout the Americas. Middle school, high school, and college students from diverse backgrounds immerse themselves in the lives of their host communities and truly experience collaborative service work. During our 55-year history, more than 30,000 AMIGOS alumni have gained a lifelong commitment to community service, while strengthening multicultural understanding and friendships in the Americas.
