Food & Friends fosters a community caring for men, women, and children living with HIV/AIDS, cancer, and other life-challenging illnesses by preparing and delivering specialized meals and groceries in conjunction with nutrition counseling. Food & Friends is the only organization in the Washington, DC, area providing specialized, nutritious meals, groceries, nutrition counseling and friendship to people living with HIV/AIDS, cancer and other life-challenging illnesses. Food & Friends' chefs and dietitians design meals that meet the special dietary needs of persons living with a broad range of illnesses. Since our inception, Food & Friends has provided more than 18 million meals to more than 30,000 individuals. In 2016, Food & Friends served serve more than 900,000 meals to more than 2,600 people.
