Catholic Charities of Santa Clara County has improved and changed the lives of 1.2 million people, our neighbors in our community, since its founding in 1955. We serve more than 40,000 people in need each year, including children, youth, families and seniors, as well as immigrants and refugees, of all cultures and beliefs. Essential assistance and support services target five critical areas: food, housing, health, education and economic security. Key to our success is maintaining critical, long-term relationships with the individuals and families attempting to access and navigate multiple programs and resources in an effort to overcome poverty. Our compassion and commitment extend beyond direct service and compels us to address the root causes of poverty in Santa Clara County through our social policy education and advocacy initiatives. Our mission is to create a more just and compassionate community in which people of all backgrounds and beliefs can participate and prosper.
