For twenty years, Sitar Arts Center has been an essential place of learning, community, and opportunity in DC's Adams Morgan community. Sitar is led by a bold mission to offer possibilities that transform the lives of children and teens born into a world of unequal access to opportunity. We address equity by offering afterschool and summer learning and experiences in the visual, performing and digital arts for DC's children and teens, ages 0-24. 80% of the students at Sitar come from low-income families.
