The nonprofit organization presents evidence of strategic thinking and goal setting through sharing their most important strategic goals.
Goal One: VBF awards scholarships of $1,000 each to 11 students who shared their stories of perseverance, strength, and courage. Through the VBF Scholarship Program, which began in 2012, students who have or had a vascular birthmark, anomaly, and/or related syndrome (VBARS) can receive financial assistance to pursue their educational goals.
Goal Two: VBF offers 5 FREE clinics annually, both nationally and globally, to allow families and individuals to receive treatment(s). Clinics were held in Miami, Washington DC, Italy, Connecticut and New York City.
Goal Three: We offer monthly VBF Facebook Live events, enabling families and patients to directly ask their questions to the top experts. We also held bi-monthly VBF Parent Advocacy Network (PAN) Zoom sessions and VBF Adults Living With…(ALWAN) Zoom sessions, creating safe spaces for participants to attend and share, meet others affected by a VBARS, or come to just listen and make new friends.
