THE ORGANIZATION OPERATES AS A NOT-FOR-PROFIT CORPORATION. THE ORGANIZATION IS A VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT THAT PROTECTS APPROXIMATELY 11,500 CITIZENS IN A 47 SQUARE MILE AREA INCLUDING THE VILLAGE OF NEW YORK MILLS AND TOWN OF NEW HARTFORD AND TOWN OF WHITESTOWN. IT PROVIDES FIRE PROTECTION, EMERGENCY MEDICAL TREATMENT SERVICES AND ADVANCED LIFE SUPPORT TO RESIDENTS.
