Telugu Association of Greater Chicago (TAGC) is a non-profit organization devoted to the awareness and promotion of Telugu Heritage & Culture through Cultural events, Educational events, Sports events and making collected donations to other non-profit organizations. The Association was originally founded in 1971 and incorporated as a non-profit organization by the year 1975. What was once a brain child of small group of individuals, TAGC has grown to be one of the oldest and largest Indo-American organizations in the United States. TAGC celebrates and organizes various Telugu festivals annually and encourages participation by members and well wishers at these events. TAGC Membership is open to all who have common interests. As a leading organization in the Chicago land area connecting people of telugu culture, TAGC is actively involved in various volunteering and community events for Youth and Women. TAGC is run by a board of directors and executive committee who are elected by TAGC members every year. Any member of TAGC is eligible to contest in the elections.

Telugu Assoc of Greater Chicago cannot be rated because Charity Navigator has not received the public data required to create a star rating.
To receive a star rating, a charity must be a U.S.-based 501(c)(3) public charity. Private foundations, consolidated subsidiaries, and organizations with revoked or inactive IRS status are not eligible for a rating.
Eligible charities must also meet the following criteria:
A nonprofit may be listed but not rated if it does not yet meet Form 990 filing requirements, is newly registered, files only Form 990-EZ or 990-N, or is otherwise ineligible for a star rating.
