Mission

Arctic Ice Project is a nonprofit organization dedicated to stabilizing the global climate by safely preserving and restoring Arctic sea ice through research, development and deployment of innovative solutions. AIP is focused on testing the most promising climate mitigation effort to date – one that has the potential to slow climate change safely, controllably, and cost effectively. All research thus far indicates that our hollow glass microsphere (HGM) technology can increase Arctic sea ice reflectivity, reduce surface temperature significantly, slow the rate of global warming and support the ocean’s natural biodiversity and our broader ecosystem that rely Arctic ice as Earth’s natural heat shield.
