UHS WAS FOUNDED FOR THE PURPOSE OF ENHANCING COLLABORATION OF HEALTH AND SOCIAL SERVICE ORGANIZATIONS OF SOUTHEAST ALASKA; PROVIDING COHESIVE SERVICES AND REFERRALS TO THE PEOPLE AND COMMUNITIES SERVED; MINIMIZING BARRIERS TO COMMUNICATION AND ACCESS OF NEEDED SERVICES; AND CREATING GREATER AWARENESS AND UTILIZATION OF THE RANGE OF RESOURCES AVAILABLE.
