1for3 Dot Org Inc.
Mission
1for3 is organized as a non-profit charitable corporation pursuant to Massachusetts law and is tax-exempt under section 501c(3) of the Federal tax code. We are non-partisan and non-political. We work with, and provide services to, Palestinian refugees living in UN-run camps in the West Bank. Although we are organized as a Massachusetts charity we are a Palestinian organization. We employ Palestinians to provide education, food security and basic health care to the communities we serve. We are led by Palestinians who grew up in and around the UN camps. We partner with other community-run Palestinian organizations in the West Bank who share our commitment to bettering the lives of those who live in these camps. Recently, we have expanded our mission to include those in need in South Lebanon, where we are addressing issues of healthcare, education, and the environment.
Vision
1for3 envisions a world where refugees, and other marginalized people, are able to meet their needs in health, food, and education. We work to achieve this by partnering with community-led organizations to advance long-term, high-quality services at the community, household and individual levels.
Goals
- 1.Add partnerships with community organizations to use our wrap-around services model. Most likely with 2 refugee camps. This will increase the number of marginalized people served by locally delivered health, food, and education programs. Pre-school and infants would be served. Increase food sovereignty work to include garden development, AI-based growing tools, and health integration.
- 2.Solidify gains from being a successful startup by scaling up all areas of operations. Administrative updates will include board development, workplace efficiency tools, leadership succession, and enhanced legal and financial compliance. Fundraising and in-kind professional support will increase by starting support chapter organizations and diversifying funding partnerships.
- 3.Expand initiatives within food, health, education programs. Food: provide training and access for women/young people in urban agriculture to help families survive rising unemployment. Health: add more patients to new initiatives in well-baby development and trauma care. Education: increase enrollment slots for children from 2 refugee camps, currently underserved by other schools.
