Love & Leashes is dedicated to helping Los Angeles Animal Services increase adoptions and raise the save rate for the 60,000+ animals that are taken in by our city shelters each year. L.A. Love & Leashes is the only adoption center 100% dedicated to animals still living in Los Angeles' six city animal shelters. Goal Two: L.A. Love & Leashes works hard to not only make shelter pets comfortable in our care, but also to understand the personalities and behaviors of each animal to match them to a home that will last a lifetime. We also aim to make sure every adopter understands the responsibility that comes with adopting any animal, but especially a shelter pet. We do our best to support adopters however we can.
Goal Three: A future goal is to create additional resources for LA Animal Services workers and animals in regards to getting animals out of the shelter and into their forever homes, focusing on alleviating medical and financial burdens.
