Spay-Neuter Action Project

Mission

Spay-Neuter Action Project (SNAP)’s mission is to save lives by reducing pet overpopulation. SNAP provides no- and low-cost spay and neuter for pets of financially challenged clients in underserved San Diego County communities. These services are delivered by licensed veterinarians on our mobile surgical suite (the “Neuter Scooter”) that travels across San Diego County to meet clients where we are most needed, and at the SNAP East Spay Center in El Cajon which serves East San Diego County residents.

We see a world where every pet has a chance of having a healthy, happy, and safe home.

Goals

1.Reach more pet owners with intact pets in critical communities throughout San Diego struggling with chronic pet overpopulation by increasing frequency of affordable spay and neuter mobile clinics.
2.Provide training to development staff to utilize the full capabilities of salesforce and ring central (both new systems) in day-to-day donor management and efficiency.
3.SNAP advocates for proper pet care year-round through pet education workshops at Title 1 schools, handouts and conversations at community events, electronic newsletters, and social media postings.
