Impact for Equity

Mission

At Impact for Equity, we address the structural racism and systemic oppression that has led to inequities and injustices in the Chicago region and Illinois, particularly for people and communities of color. Our mission is to combat systemic barriers to equity and to fight for racial, economic, and social justice.

Vision

Every person has the right and opportunity to live their fullest life in a thriving community and free of systemic barriers.

Goals

1.We will strengthen our impact by rooting our work and voice in communities, in thoughtful collaborations, and by amplifying our message and stories. and collaborations and by amplifying our message. We will focus on telling our story more effectively, and building up our external connections and relevance.
2.We will expand the effectiveness of our work through innovation, partnerships, and accountability. We will define our focus in the fight for racial, economic, and social justice, create evaluation processes, and innovate boldly through partnerships and new projects.
3.We will holistically invest in a culture of equity through board and staff support and development. We will invest in building staff development infrastructure, and embody equity, inclusion, and shared power in practice and process. Our organization will deepen the capacity of our board to be a part of making change.
