    Variety the Children's Charity Detroit provides vital medical and therapeutic services, recreational facilities and educational opportunities to children with special needs.<br><br>Detroit's Tent 5, one of 58 'tents' or chapters around the world, was established in 1932 and today has more than 1,500 volunteers and supporters who are committed to changing the lives of children with unique and special needs. <br><br>Variety's core programs include the Variety Myoelectric Center providing myoelectric prostheses, Variety Bikes for Kids, Variety Cardiology Center, Variety Feeds Kids, Variety K.I.D.S. program, Variety 4H Horseback Riding program, Variety Produce Rescue Mission, and the Variety Community Outreach Program.
