Mission

The mission of the Cassie Hines Shoes Cancer Foundation is to support young adults with cancer from the beginning of their battle to life beyond cancer. Engaging in support programs involving peer connection, especially YA survivorship programs, can provide tools that will help manage the emotional side of their battle and allow them to feel like they are back in charge of their own future

Vision

Cassie Hines Shoes Cancer Foundation desires to eliminate isolation and loneliness after a cancer diagnosis for young adults by creating a community of peers with a shared journey. We do this primarily through outreach and our Base2Summit camp.

Goals

1.CHSCF intends to increase Base2Summit program weeks as demand and resources increase. This growth will include a permanent Base2Summit house with designs to accommodate for physical disabilities often treated to cancer treatment.
2.In the past we have offered airfare scholarships to similar young adult camp programs to allow a variety of options for the cancer patient seeking a respite week with peers. After receiving many reviews that our B2S program week exceeded expectations and was superior to the others they had experienced, we decided to focus our funds on increasing our own programming.
