Vision

Strides for Peace envisions a Chicago where all can thrive and live free of the fear of gun violence.

Goals

1. 1.Our Race Against Gun Violence is an extremely scalable solution. We served 80 organizations directly this year and raised $250,000 for the work. Our goal is to expand the Race Against Gun Violence to new cities throughout the United States, multiplying funds raised for grass roots gun violence prevention organizations.
2. 2.We developed a second annual "signature" program in 2023 called the Gun Violence Prevention Expo. Serving more than 50 organizations, we hosted the event to put resource providers in direct contact with practitioners. With city, county and state officials alongside academics, health care industry leaders our practitioners were and will continue to be supported more equitably. 2024 Goal: 100 org
3. 3.Further build the HR, Finance, and Operational infrastructure needed to scale Strides for Peace's work in a way that aligns with nonprofit compliance and best practices.
