Vision

We envision community led by honest, God-fearing leaders where family is valued and our children have opportunities to gain an education, and raise their own families while pursuing their God-given passion.

Goals

1. 1.When new needs arise, as we saw during COVID-19, our leadership team works closely together with our community to understand new needs and respond appropriately. During COVID, for example, we found ways to provide home-based education when Ugandan schools were shut down, and provide grocery deliveries to families who could not get to the store.
2. 2.Our organization is not large, but is committed. When the needs of our people change, we adapt accordingly. An example of this change of focus was seen with our local farmers - I AM Family still prays for and supports them, but our women farmers have become adept at meeting their own needs and training new members of the community, releasing limited ministry resources to address other needs.
3. 3.I AM began with the vision and commitment of one Kampala pastor and his wife. Their children have now grown and taken the lead. The team has now added volunteers and expertise in Europe and the U.S. and we are building technical and procedural systems to enable us to support more vulnerable women, children, and families.
