NorthBridge
Mission
The mission of NorthBridge is to provide support, resources, and guidance to students with learning differences as they transition to, persist, and succeed in higher educational and vocational opportunities.
Vision
NorthBridge creates customized pathways for long term post-secondary success for students with learning differences. The organization strives to be the student’s advocate, foster structure and accountability, provide community, and develop partnerships with other organizations and agencies. Our programs, High School Success, College Success, Test Preparation, and Career Preparation, work with students to make their vision of the future a reality. Using our 1:1 student-centered coaching strategies and proven best practices, NorthBridge is a community leader in making college possible, goals attainable, and a meaningful, fulfilling future a reality for college, vocational, and high school students with learning differences.
Goals
- 1.NorthBridge plans to increase proposed service capacity through fee-based services, existing state contracts, scholarships, and partnerships with local agencies. To date, we have served over 400 students with a recent GPA of 3.34 over the 23-24 school year. We plan to increase our current services, and are open to expansion as long as the need is within our mission and vision.
- 2.We would like to provide more hours and hire additional academic coaches to work directly with the students in a specific county of Arizona. This is due to the geographic area where students prefer in-person NorthBridge sessions. We also would like to market our cause and inform the community of the incredible need of serving students with learning differences.
- 3.We would like to serve more students with learning differences by partnering with local community colleges, universities, trade schools, high schools, and/or community organizations. There are students all over Arizona that need 1:1 mentoring and academic support, and a partnership would assist us with serving this population.
