Doyenne Group Inc.
Mission
Doyenne mobilizes a community around economic growth for early-stage, scalable ventures led by women and marginalized gender/s entrepreneurs. We focus on three core strategies to support entrepreneurs as they scale their dreams: 1. Develop the Entrepreneur: Expand entrepreneurial skills through professional development workshops and webinars, and provide public programming to highlight the entrepreneurs within Doyenne 2. Fund the Ventures: Put dollars into the hands of underrepresented entrepreneurs and create pipelines for more classes of individuals to invest in each other 3. Transform the Narrative: Changing the face of entrepreneurship through our collective voice and the way entrepreneurship is recognized and supported within an entrepreneurial ecosystem
Vision
Doyenne is building and expanding a virtual network of communities where early-stage, scalable, women and historically marginalized gender/s entrepreneurs come to access professional development, connections, and other opportunities with each other and our partners.
Goals
- 1.Doyenne's mail goal is to serve the entrepreneurs at a strategic level of support, and not duplicate programs and offerings already offered from organization partners. We have scaled back on our programmatic offerings to make sure our impact & engagement remains high, and also introduce entrepreneurs to our organization partners when they're needing support in areas we do not work within.
- 2.Initially, Doyenne was focused on supporting only women-led ventures based in Dane county, Wisconsin. Since 2018 we have increased our impact to reach entrepreneurs across Wisconsin. We are currently working on expanding impact and opportunities to support women and marginalized entrepreneurs across the U.S.A.
- 3.We believe we are only as strong as the knowledge we have, meaning we need to leverage our knowledge base, listen and adapt to those we serve, and use the financial resources we have within the organization to maximize our impact. Doyenne's staffing model has limited staffing within the organization to support other small businesses by hiring contractors for programmatic and operations.
