Mission

THE MISSION OF THE HOMELESS CHILDREN'S FOUNDATION OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY IS TO MAKE GRANTS TO OR FOR THE BENEFIT OF HOMELESS CHILDREN, INCLUDING TO FUND THEIR ATTENDANCE AT SUMMER CAMPS, SCHOOL BREAK CAMPS, BEFORE AND AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAMS, AND FOR SCHOOL UNIFORMS.

Goals

1.HCF originated in 2015 to fill an unmet gap in our community: homeless children were not offered afterschool and summer programs. We began with serving 40 children in a local homeless shelter and in 2025, now serve over 500 children annually experiencing all forms of homelessness.
2.Continue to evaluate community needs and fill gaps that are within the mission and scope of HCF
3.Continue to bring awareness and advocacy to this issue of child and family homelessness
