The nonprofit has an opportunity to tell the story of how the organization adapted to tremendous external changes in the last year.
This past year, the Covid-19 pandemic forced many non-profits, including Holy Angels to operate differently. From postponing fundraising events, discontinuing volunteer programs and not allowing visitors (including our residents’ families) to be on our campus. Staff were required to submit a brief questionnaire prior to coming in to work, continually wear a mask, especially working with our residents and were not able to meet together – Zoom became the norm. As the CDC guidelines changed, we changed – allowing families to visit their loved ones, outside; maintaining safe distances staff could once again gather for meetings – but larger meetings still happening on Zoom. We have continually monitored the guidelines and make changes accordingly. External fundraising events looked differently making needed changes to assure safety for staff and event participants.
We enhanced our Infection Control Plan, specific to current and future pandemics for prevention and intervention.
Since 2020, we measure our residents’ overall quality of life in the areas of self-determination, social inclusion, emotional well-being, physical well-being, interpersonal relationships and rights. On an ongoing basis, we address opportunities to enhance programming to better serve our residents. After an initial year of data collection, an agency goal of 80% correlation was established for 2021. To date, the agency data ranks as follows:
Holy Angels, Inc.
2020=78%
2021=80%
