Mission

Our Mission is to alleviate suffering through compassionate activity in the world by: • Making Buddhist teachings available • Offering a place of spiritual refuge including sites of pilgrimage and prayer • Offering prayers and spiritual practices to those in need • Nurturing the community beyond our boundaries and • Caretaking the natural environment under our custody. In 2005, KPC Spiritual Director, Jetsunma Ahkon Lhamo, founded Buddhist Relief to relieve suffering by nurturing the community beyond our boundaries through an interdependent, compassionate focus on feeding those facing food insecurity, healing the land through sustainable gardening, and caring for food-producing farm animals.
