The nonprofit organization presents evidence of strategic thinking and goal setting through sharing their most important strategic goals.
Goal One: More than 250 million children in the world have an undiagnosed genetic condition. Currently at 500 children a year, to offer genomic sequencing to 50,000 children a year around the world, specifically in LMIC by 2029. To enable the sequencing to be done in those countries in which the children reside, thereby increasing the clinician's capacity.
Goal Two: To offer support to the families of the children entering iHope Genetic Health. At present, few of these families receive peer to peer support, matching to available medicines, advocacy for access to inaccessible medicines, connections to clinical trials, and the creation of trials where they do not exist.
Goal Three: In the shift from being heavily federally funded pre-pandemic, we must now find funders who realize the importance of the infrastructure we provide to networks of support groups, the need to diagnose the more than 250 million children in the world who are undiagnosed, and the importance of organizations that are "home to the whole".
