Homefree USA is a non-profit public benefit organization that specializes in homeownership development, foreclosure intervention and financial empowerment. It empowers minorities and women to attain and/or maintain home ownership and financial stability, with a specific focus on providing the financial tools needed to facilitate wise and cautious decision making. The organization is one of the leaders in accessing untapped mainstream financial resources and delivering them to individuals, families, and communities.

HomeFree-USA envisions a nation where homeownership is not a privilege for the few, but a powerful and attainable pathway for thriving communities, generational stability, and economic dignity. We see a future where individuals and families—regardless of race, income, geography, or background—are equipped with the knowledge, resources, and opportunities to build lasting wealth through sustainable homeownership. Through trusted partnerships, workforce and talent development, community-driven housing solutions, and strong nonprofit capacity, HomeFree-USA will help transform systems that once excluded into pathways that empower. Our vision is not only to help people access homes, but to strengthen neighborhoods, cultivate leadership, and ensure communities have the tools to define and invest in their own futures—for generations to come.
Goals
- 1.HomeFree-USA’s goal is to responsibly scale and strengthen its proven programs and services to expand access to sustainable homeownership, financial stability, and economic opportunity for individuals, families, and communities nationwide.
- 2.Expand the Develop the Developer Academy to meet rising demand among LMI communities by equipping local, underrepresented developers with the skills, capital access, and mentorship needed to rehabilitate homes and revitalize neighborhoods. Scaling DTDA will address vacant housing, build local wealth, and create sustainable, community-led housing solutions.
