We recognize that organizations may skip e-filing on certain years, while otherwise meeting our methodology. However, we do not believe it appropriate to rate an organization based on this limited amount of data.

Our Executive Director has been nominated to attend the Startup Champions Network's Spring Summit (3 day in-person event) in April 2024 - with a view to invest in greater exposure (and learning opportunities); it will further help accelerate her ability to build social capital from this in-person event at a far better pace than the virtual events that are the norm.

1. published a White Paper summarising insights from our research into the enablement ecosystem for small business entrepreneurs in the US (available here: http://tinyurl.com/PositiveWP2024)
2. we have joined the Startup Champions Network - a network of entrepreneur support organizations (ESOs) who work to leverage our collective strengths to solve ecosystem challenges for small business entrepreneurs
3. we are a part of the SBA's Innovation Ecosystem Champion's network - and join the monthly calls to learn from and contribute to the discussion on other champions who share our mission
4. we are in advanced talks with ESOs in Oakland (CA), Chicago (IL) and other private organizations to partner with in building our online community solution.
5. we post regularly on LinkedIn to create visibility to the work we do - and reach our target audiences (small business entrepreneurs, potential partners & donors)

Investment in Leadership Development
30 out of 30 points
The nonprofit has an opportunity to tell the story of how the organization adapted to tremendous external changes in the last year.
We started operations locally in the US in the summer of 2020 - as we saw that communities in the US were as badly impacted by the pandemic as those elsewhere. We started on a boot-strapped mode with a 100% volunteer team - and were grateful for the early support we found from Corporate Partners (Cap Gemini & Genpact LLC). However with recessionary headwinds and numerous environmental factors, in 2022 we saw a sharp drop in funding support.
In response - we initiated a Strategy Reset in Q1 2023 to re-look at our operating model and sharpen our focus on gaps in the entrepreneur-enablement ecosystem to maximize our impact. We profiled over 50 potential partners and 20 donors who work in areas linked to our mission to identify key gaps. Further, we interviewed 11 experts from the industry to validate our hypotheses and firm up priorities.
Insights from this research have informed our strategic choices since - including the decision to pilot a Gen-AI-powered accelerator (launched in November 2023) and our current efforts to launch an online community for learning and networking for small business entrepreneurs with Revenues < $200K.
