Our mission is to foster and promote literacy and life skills among adults who request our assistance in Pleasants, Ritchie, Wirt, and Wood counties in the state of West Virginia. We seek to promote an adult population in the Mid-Ohio Valley with the reading, writing, and life skills necessary for their social and economic needs. In pursuit of this mission, we provide free and ongoing tutoring in reading, writing, and life skills in a confidential, one-on-one environment to adult residents of the Mid-Ohio Valley who request our assistance.

Literacy Volunteers of the Mid-Ohio Valley cannot be rated because Charity Navigator has not received the public data required to create a star rating.
To receive a star rating, a charity must be a U.S.-based 501(c)(3) public charity. Private foundations, consolidated subsidiaries, and organizations with revoked or inactive IRS status are not eligible for a rating.
Eligible charities must also meet the following criteria:
A nonprofit may be listed but not rated if it does not yet meet Form 990 filing requirements, is newly registered, files only Form 990-EZ or 990-N, or is otherwise ineligible for a star rating.
