Mission

Seeking to put God's love into action, Habitat for Humanity of the Charlotte Region brings people together to build homes, communities and hope. Since 1983, we've been the premier area provider of affordable homeownership and home repair solutions for families earning less than 80% of Area Median Income. Through our New Homeownership program, we build quality homes priced at fair market value and sell them to income-qualified homebuyers with mortgages that are "right-sized" through subsidies to be affordable. Our Critical Home Repair program provides qualified families with significant repairs at a reduced rate, improving substandard housing conditions for those with limited financial resources. Our Money Matters program offers financial education for members of our community, including budgeting, credit building, investing and more. For nearly four decades, we have provided affordable homeownership solutions for over 3,800 hardworking families in Mecklenburg, Gaston, and Iredell Counties.
