CLINTON COLLEGE WAS FOUNDED IN 1894 BY THE AFRICAN METHODIST EPISCOPAL (AME) ZION CHURCH AS A PRIVATE LIBERAL ARTS INSTITUTION. THE COLLEGE IS COMMITTED TO FACILITATING SUTDENTS' ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT, MORAL AND SPIRITUAL GROWTH, LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT, AND CITIZENSHIP IN A GLOBAL SOCIETY.
