Mission

The Good Neighbor Cupboard, a 501(c)(3), is committed to providing food relief to those without direct access or funding for nutritious food in Anderson and all of South Carolina, through sustained donation efforts from the community. By continuing the legacy of founder Margaret Herron in 1982, our mission is to act as a beacon of light by providing hope to those facing food insecurities in South Carolina. By working with volunteers, donors, and local and national organizations alike; we are able to achieve our goals of creating a conduit for the abundance of food in South Carolina while then providing our neighbors with nourishing food, dignity and compassion.
