Women Moving on Inc.
Mission
Our mission is to create a society in which domestic violence and sexual assault no longer exist. We strive to meet the immediate and long-term needs of the diverse community of survivors and their children with programs that promote safety, compassion, connection, advocacy, and prevention.
Vision
We envision a community where every person lives free from domestic and sexual violence and has the safety and support they deserve. By providing compassionate advocacy, safe housing, legal and medical support, and pathways to healing, we help survivors reclaim their lives and build stronger futures for themselves and their families. We aspire to create a world where survivors are believed and supported, where communities stand together against abuse, and where children grow up learning healthy relationships and resilience. Through survivor-centered services, community partnerships, and prevention efforts, we are working toward a future where violence is no longer tolerated and every individual has the opportunity to thrive in safety and peace.
Goals
- 1.WRCDV’s FY2024-FY2028 plan focuses on expanding, scaling, and increasing access to survivor-centered services. By growing housing, outreach, mental health, prevention, and legal support, we aim to break the cycle of domestic violence. Key strategies include enhancing programs for children and teens including increasing enrollment, increasing mental health support, and expanding housing support.
- 2.WRCDV is investing in financial, operational, and technical capacity to sustain growth and impact. Our strategy includes diversifying funding, building our administrative team, enhancing staff development, upgrading technology, and expanding community engagement. These investments ensure long-term stability, stronger services, and a resilient organization dedicated to ending domestic violence.
- 3.WRCDV is committed to strengthening advocacy to advance policies that protect survivors and prevent domestic violence. We will train community leaders, engage policymakers, and improve our partnerships with law enforcement. Advocacy ensures systemic change, greater safety, and lasting impact. By amplifying survivor voices, we drive progress toward a society where DV no longer exists.
