Vision

WOIL envisions communities where all people with disabilities live freely, independently, and without barriers; empowered by choice, supported through inclusion, and connected to opportunities that allow them to thrive. We strive for a future where disability is recognized as a natural part of human diversity, community systems are fully accessible, and every individual has the tools, resources and respect needed to direct their own life.

Goals

1. 1.Independent living which includes access to housing, deinstitutionalization, self-care, home safety, and self-advocacy.
2. 2.WOIL will strengthen employment pathways by expanding skills training, job readiness support and employer partnerships for consumers with employment goals. HireMeGA.com now serves as an active disability employment awareness initiative that promotes community engagement and increases opportunities for competitive integrated employment.
3. 3.Walton aims to expand adaptive and competitive sports programs to reduce barriers to access, promote social connection and increase community participation. We will also connect these programs to vocational skills, leadership development, and youth engagement to support long term independence.
